Ran another 9.5 trail run yesterday. Didn't run it hard, though. I remember how tight my right leg was last week during the middle of the run. I thought I had pulled that muscle. So, I laid off running for a few days with some stretching and rolling my leg muscles out with The Stick. It felt OK today.
When you're not running against time, you can relax and enjoy the scenery as you watch for roots and rocks. The picture is of an out cropping at the top of the hill that I had run past dozens of times. Just hadn't looked that way. The rock was 10 feet off the trail. I slowed down to look.
The early morning sun streamed into the woods at a low angle, providing a bit of eerie lighting. Tranquil.
Another reason for running dirt trails.
Gotta run,
Chuck
